Lions Club of Minnedosa

The Minnedosa Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Sanderson Room at the Minnedosa Community Conference Centre. Vistors are welcome.
The Lions Club meets to serve the community and individuals in need, to help make our community a better place to live.
The club also runs a reading program through TCS – contact Club President for info.

Manitoba Neurofibromatosis Support Group

The Manitoba Neurofibromatosis Support Group (MBNF) is committed to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). MBNF provides support, promotes awareness by educating the public and aids in funding research to improve treatment and find a cure for NF. MBNF hosts a variety of events throughout the year, publishes an annual newsletter, distributes resources, and provides an up-to-date website with a members forum to allow contact opportunity.

Minnedosa & Area Food Bank

Donations to the Food Bank may be dropped off at the Minnedosa United Church Office at 48 Main Street South, back door. Some suitable donations include: money (charitable donation receipts for income tax purposes issued for all donations of $15 or more), to purchase food and vouchers, pork & beans, canned vegetables, pasta sauce, Kraft Dinner, canned fish (tuna), bags of pasta or rice, soda crackers, or soup. Donations of fresh fruit and vegetables in season are welcome.

The Food Bank operates one morning a week, Thursday 10:00 am-12:00 noon, and is manned by volunteers.

The Food Bank serves the communities of Minnedosa, Erickson, Rapid City, Sandy Lake, Onanole, Newdale, Clanwilliam, Bethany, Basswood, Rolling River First Nations, Kee See First Nations, Elphinstone and surrounding municipalities.

Minnedosa & District Foundation

The Minnedosa & District Foundation is a community run organization that provides funding to charitable organizations that enrich and sustain the community. The Foundation’s Trustee manages the fund built through donations from citizens like yourself. All gifts to the Foundation are eligible for tax receipts.

Minnedosa & District Health Foundation

In 1995 the Board of Directors of the Minnedosa District Hospital and Personal Care Home incorporated the Foundation. This was in order to keep the money donated to the local Hospital and Personal Care Home in this district.
The Foundation is made up of a Board of Directors with representatives from the RM’s of Minto, Odanah, Harrison, and Saskatchewan, as well as the towns of Minnedosa and Rapid City.
Funds received by the Foundation are held and administered separately from those of the Regional Health Authority.
Donations, bequests or gifts "in memory” can be made at one of the following: Minnedosa Credit Union, the Royal Bank, the Minnedosa Town Office, or mailed to:

Minnedosa & District Recreation Commission

Mission Statement
To plan, organize and implement recreational programs which include physical, social, artistic and intellectual group recreation, for those people that live within the designated recreation district, and promote recreation as a viable necessity for the community through successful programs, networking, with organizations, media assistance and developing a volunteer base.

Minnedosa 50+ Seniors Activity Centre

The 50+ Seniors Activity Centre opened its doors in the fall of 2008.  It hosts a variety of activities including floor curling, pool, card games, scrapbooking, book club, knitting group, scrabble, beginner bridge and more.  Luncheons are scheduled on the second Monday of each month. The Centre schedules various activities on a regular basis.  Stop by and pick up a monthly calendar!

Minnedosa Game & Fish Association

Minnedosa Game and Fish Association was founded approximately 12 years ago to promote and enhance the sport of hunting and fishing in our area of the province.  We are affiliated with the Manitoba Wildlife Federation and we presently have a membership of 67.  Our group actively sponsors many worthwhile projects in the community.  If you are interested in becoming a member, contact Nicole.

Minnedosa Health Auxiliary

The Minnedosa District Health Auxiliary is comprised of – Minnedosa Aid, Bethany Aid, Newdale Aid and Minnedosa Rural Aid.  Mission Statement: The Manitoba Health Auxiliaries Association is an association of healthcare volunteers which acts as a coordinating body providing leadership, education and support to local auxiliaries as they strive to enhance the provision of healthcare in their respective areas.   The Minnedosa Health Auxiliary raises funds to stay in Minnedosa and purchase equipment for our own hospital. Working towards the beautification of Minnedosa.

The organization encourages gardening and horticulture by way of shows, plant sales, and workshops.

Minnedosa Performing Arts Committee


The Minnedosa Performing Arts Committee coordinates the Expressions Concert Series.

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing live performances to Minnedosa. These performances include a variety of performing arts: vocal, instrumental, drama and dance and many genres from classical to contemporary to country.  Our concerts will appeal to a wide audience of all ages.

We couldn’t do this without the work of our volunteer committee members and the generous support of our sponsors: Canadian Heritage; Manitoba Culture, Heritage and Tourism; Heritage Co-op; Minnedosa & District Foundation, and Minnedosa Credit Union.

Minnedosa Rotary Club

The Minnedosa Rotary Club meets Thursdays at 5:15 pm at the Minnedosa Golf and Curling Club. Anyone welcome.

A club for anyone with a passion for vintage and special interest vehicles. No vehicle required, just an interest in a newly formed car club.

River’s Edge Recreation Park

The Rivers Edge Recreation Park Project is a grass roots effort to develop a recreational area west of Tanner’s Crossing School, north of the river. Our plan is to develop this area in 4 phases over 5-7 years.  We are pleased to announce that Phase 3 of the project is now complete!  The 9 hole disc golf course (complete with a post and rope fence, concrete tee-boxes, as well as custom manufactured targets and signage) was finished over the fall/winter of 2016/17. Rolling River Festival of the Arts

RRFA is a non-profit volunteer based organization which provides a venue for student performance and adjudication in the following disciplines:  piano, speech arts, band, instrumental, vocal, choral & dance.  The 2020 festival will be held in Minnedosa and the dance portion in Rivers during the week of March 16-20, 2020, with an entry deadline of Thursday, January 16, 2020. Services to Seniors

A non-profit organization, Services to Seniors, is available to support living for seniors and people with disabilities. With funding through the Prairie Mountain Regional Health Authority, the focus is on wellness.

United Commercial Travellers

Minnedosa UCT meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the Regional Library. We have 4 main areas in which we do fundraising and awareness. They are: cancer, safety, youth/drug, and intellectual disabled. We have weekly Bingo on Tuesday – funds raised are used and stay in our community. UCT is a fraternal benefit society offering members insurance products and other benefits since 1888. We are truly united by a common theme of "People Helping People.”
