I was elected to town council in October, 2002 and was acclaimed as mayor in January 2004. I was returned to office as mayor by acclaimation in October, 2006.
I have been a resident of Minnedosa since August, 1978, when I was transferred here with the RCMP as the Detachment Commander and remained in that position until my retirement in 1985. I then began employment with the Rolling River School Division as the Secretary-Treasurer and retired from that position in December, 2000.
My wife, Jean, is self-employed as a hair-dresser and three of our four daughters reside in town. We have lived in a number of places over the years but none as nice as Minnedosa and what really sets this community apart is the people. You truly are the best.

We have lived in Minnedosa since 1965. Our family considers our town as our heritage and our roots. We are very happy that we chose to live in Minnedosa.
Raymond and I have four daughters who are all married, and we have eight grandchildren.
I worked for Morris Rodweeder (Agristeel) as a human resources person as well as doing this same position for the Minnedosa Hospital. I worked as a teacher aide at the Minnedosa Collegiate and then retired to be a full time gramma "Nanny" for our grandchildren.
I am currently serving my second term as a councilor the the Town of Minnedosa. I have found this to be very educational and informative. It has made me respect and admire the work our town employees do for us all.

I am the Chair of the Tourism Committee of the CDC, and serve as Communications Officer for the new Minnedosa Regional Events Centre – the committee responsible for acquiring a new arena/recreational complex for our community. I am also on the Recreation and Culture Committee and the Protective Services Committee, and sit as an ex officio member of the Minnedosa Area Museum and Heritage Village Corp.

Retired as Operations Manager for Manitoba Hydro in the western region.
